Beneath the Planet of the Apes (sh. Ispod planete majmuna) je američki science fiction film snimljen 1970. godine u režiji Teda Posta. Predstavlja nastavak popularnog filma Planet of the Apes, odnosno drugi dio originalne serije. Protagonist, čiji lik tumači James Franciscus) je američki astronaut koji iz 20. vijeka, nastojeći slijediti originalnu ekspediciju, završi na Zemlji kojom dvije tisuće godina kasnije dominiraju inteligentni majmuni. Radnja prikazuje kako ga potraga za prethodnikom dovede do podzemne civilizacije u kojoj mutirani ljudi, obdareni telepatijom, štuju atomsku bombu kao božanstvo.
Poticaj za snimanje je prije svega dao izuzetan uspjeh prethodnog filma, ali je produkciju ozbiljno ograničilo to što su glavni glumci i članovi ekipe bili ili nedostupni ili, kao u slučaju Charlotna Hestona (koji se na kraju pojavio tek u cameo ulozi na samom kraju filma) smatrali da nastavak nema smisla. U novom filmu su zato važnu ulogu imali sporedni likovi iz prethodnika, kao što je nijema i (oskudna odjevena) ljudska djevojka Nova (koju je ponovno glumila Linda Harrison, ali je na scenario izuzetno uticalo i antimilitarističko raspoloženje izazvano tada aktualnim vijetnamskim ratom. Ono se odrazilo i na izuzetno mračan ton, koji je kulminirao u apokaliptičkoj završnici koja je trebala označiti konačni kraj serije. Iako su kritike bile daleko lošije od originala, film je svejedno postigao komercijalni uspjeh te potakao snimanje još tri nastavka.
Beneath the Planet of the Apes je 2008. bio jedna od inspiracija tvorcima popularne video-igre Fallout 3 gdje se također pojavljuje postapokaliptični kult koje štuje atomsku bombu.
